| Bandits win their last game prior to Christmas break |

On Sunday, December 18th, The Cumberland Bandits were visiting the La Peche Predators. With injured players and others writing university or college exams, the Bandits were faced with a short bench – having to invite affiliated players. Fans witnessed three exciting periods with 1 goal Eric Donato and 2 goals from Benoit Harris (including the game winning goal). Bandits edged La Peche 3-2.
The previous day, on December 17th, the Embrun Panthers was the visiting team. Unfortunately, the Bandits did not play up to their full potential. The Panthers won 4-3 but the outcome could have been different had we played with intensity throughout the three periods. Jeremy Auger, Alex Girard and Ryan Renaud each scored 1 goal.
At this point, 19 games have been played in the regular season. A record of 14 wins and 5 loses is a good start for the Bandits. There are great lessons learned. The Cumberland Bandits coaching staff and players have reasons to be very proud and can look forward to the rest of the season – as they start getting ready for the playoffs.
The Bandits next game is Friday night, January 6th, at 8:00pm – Embrun arena. The Bandits will be visiting the Embrun Panthers. Our next home game is Saturday June 7th – Ray Friel Pad #1. The Papineauville Vikings will be the visiting team.
Go Bandits Go!!! |
