Bandits get Embarrassed Friday and Return to Form Saturday

The weekend did not start off well for the Bandits as they visited “The Bob” for a 7:30PM Game against the second place Gatineau Hull Volants.  The Volants dominated the game from the get go and never looked back on their way to an 8-1 romp of your Bandits.

“We just simply did not have any legs and they took advantage of it early scoring three times in the first frame.  We then gone discouraged and frustrated and were never really in this game” Added a Bandit team official.

“I felt like we let “Mig” down by not showing up tonight.  We left him hanging early and often.  This is on us” added veteran forward Pat Daoust.   “We will forget about this one and move on to the next game.  We can’t let these types of games define us, we are much better than that said Miguel D’Aoust Bandits goalie.

The Bandits then headed home Saturday night for their first game against the expansion Bytown Royals who are struggling out of the gate.  The Bandits took control of the game early by scoring 4 in the first period.   Bandits added 3 in the second and 2 in the third on their way to an 8-2 win.

“We feel for Bytown players, they actually work real hard out there and they don’t give up.  If they hang in there this will be a good team” said Bandits owner Rick Bedard.

The Bandits will play only one game next weekend and that will be on Saturday October 28th at 7:30 when another expansion teams the South Grenville Rangers head to the Ray Friel.  Come encourage your Bandits.
